Since I've had numerous variations of this the last few days:
"what town do you live in...uh huh...dangit, where's that on map quest...ok, you're safe....did you know there are NO cities/interstate highways/etc near you?"
To get to any of the cities that Rita is expected to hit, I have to travel about 6 hours, going 70 mph most of the way, to get to Corpus, Galveston, Port Arthur, etc...heck, the only one of those places I've ever been to is Corpus. I do have a few relatives who live there, but they're currently taking advantage other the fact that they have numerous inland relatives.
If you look on most maps, you'll usually find San Angelo located around the middle of the "X" in Texas.
We're expected to get rain and some wind, but nothing bad.
