I am so sad that I can’t find subtitles for the second series! It should be a crime. (I have read a bit about the plot of the third series. It sounds like it should be avoided at all costs, and not just because of the change in actors.)
It’s really easy to see why this series is so popular. Even on the occasions when it made me roll my eyes (or go “NO SHOW, DON’T GO THERE!”) it was positively addictive and I couldn’t stop watching. Part of it, I think, is that while Yan Zi and Zi Wei would both be rather annoying as solo heroines (Yan Zi would be too rascally, Zi Wei would be too Tragic) they work very well together.
