Ok, Clamp totally repeats the bit where Yasha is reaching for the burned corpse, only to have it crumble in his hands. I just can’t remember where.

And then there’s Ashura having someone turns into butterflies in his arms. I will not comment on that. ~~EEE!~~ And Ashur’s body is the sheath for the Ashura sword! I swear, was this just a testing ground for all of Clamp’s future angst!crack?

The highlight of this volume (aside from Clamp’s early angst!crack ideas) was the after comics of wee!Kendappa tricking all her little playmates.

Other than that, there was mostly Yasha being kidnapped by the demon who looked like the girl it ate and the others looking for him, though there was that lovely moment where Kujaku grew wings to take care of her. At least Ryuu and Ashura scenes are cute, and Ryuu got to meet Ashura’s dark side, thanks to Kujaku.

But no Kendappa or Karura, and almost no Souma or court politics…
